Carnival of Science 2024

Carnival Of Science, Fitzgerald’s Park, Cork, 8th June 2024

The ESRs came together for a public engagement event in Cork on 8th June 2024. The event, Carnival of Science is a two-day free STEM festival. It offered a fascinating weekend of discovery for families, where they explored the magic of science in the great outdoors. 27,000 people attended this public science event. The ESRs co-ordinated a programme of activity that had been developed by two of the ESRs (Monica Cazzaniga and Nizar Shayya) for a similar science festival in Brussels (the EU Event Science is Wonderful).
